I have been a certified human massage therapist for almost 20 yrs. I have used kinesiology, reflexology and magnetic therapy in my human practice with much success. Having worked with chiropractors for years, been on-staff at the local YMCA, and also teaching Basic Introductory to Massage at the local Vo-Tech School, I have had quite a bit of experience.
Then horses walked into my life and I just had to work with them too. So I went to Equine Massage School in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, at the Aspen School of Equine Studies and got certified to work on animals. I then developed my equine practice, using my previous knowledge and background as well. I then did much research into how trauma affects animals, the same way it does humans. That is how I came across the energy work and saw dramatic results in helping animals that seemed to be hopeless cases.
The state of Oklahoma has very restrictive veterinary laws for alternative health care practitioners. So I work ONLY with a vet's referral here in the state of Oklahoma. Seven different veterinarians have referred my work so far and are impressed with the results.
I do NOT replace a veterinarian, nor do I endorse my work over theirs. I insist on a vet checking out an animal before I work on them, as a precaution.
Due to the amazing results, my work has been published in the Natural Horse magazine in December of 2004 and will again be in the March/April, 2007 issue. |
