A heart is like a horseshoe, The value of each established by me or you. A new heart is warm, soft and more, A horseshoe is formed from red hot iron ore. Experiences of life can turn a heart cold, Molten ore is poured into a special mold. A heart is banged and battered it’s whole life through, The mold is opened to reveal a cold hard horseshoe. God touches the heart, and warmth returns, we know. The farrier heats the horseshoe to a warm red glow. Warm hearts do the work of God, A horse performs well when correctly shod. Hearts and horseshoes cold and hard are not worth much,
Yet priceless warmed and shaped by the Master’s touch.
