Riding for the Brand

When a cowboy rides for the brand,
He makes a commitment, he is willing to take a stand.

There were lot's of outfits, some of which you know.
Like the King ranch's running W, the four sixes (6666) and the YO.

They roped and branded wild cattle,
And rode bronc's that tested their mettle.

Swam wide raging rivers,
And rode through blizzards that gave their bodies shivers.

There were early herders who road for a mighty brand,
Men like Abraham, Noah and David, for God they made a stand.

And when our life is over all will not be a loss,
If it's said we rode for Jesus, and our brand was the cross.
